Tanks A-lot Mr President

The International arms broker Defense Security Cooperation Agency Announced in a press release July 5, 2011 that they are putting together a deal for the Egyptian Government. The deal is for upgrading the Egyptians Abrams Tank program. The Egyptians operate a co-production tank facility for the construction, repair and retrofitting of M1A1 Abrams Tanks. Egypt currently fields over 600 Abrams Tanks and another 250 Russian T72s.

There is nothing illegal about this sale and DSCA is seeking DOD approval on the proposal before it is finalized. The package consists of 125 M1A1 Abrams tank kits for co-production, 125 M256 Armament Systems, 125 M2 .50 caliber machine guns, 250 M240 7.62mm machine guns, 125 AGT-1500 M1A1 series tank engines and transmissions, 120mm test cartridges, spare and repair parts, maintenance, support equipment, special tool and test equipment, personnel training and equipment, publications and technical documentation, U.S. Government and contractor engineering and logistics support services, and other related elements of logistics and program support. Articles may be provided in furtherance of a co-production agreement. The estimated cost is $1.329 billion.
  1. Should we provide this hardware and support in light of the current activities in Egypt?
  2. Is the American Taxpayer ultimately footing the bill?
  3. Will there be fair elections in Egypt soon and will the outcome bolster radical factions in the region?
  4. Is the Egyptian military fracturing along ideological lines and will the commanders accept the political outcome?
There is protest after protest in Egypt and the country is in economic and political turmoil. There is widespread violence against Coptic Christians and 75% of the population is in favor of resending the Israeli  peace treaty. The Suez Canal operations were halted by striking workers and they cut electricity for 10 minuets as a show of force. The workers 1400 strong shut down the shipyard and that has triggered law suits against the country of Egypt. The U.S. State Dept. Spokesperson Victoria Nuland has been expressing a total ambivalent attitude in regard to Egypt.

Egypt seems to attracting money from all over the region. In addition to the U.S. offer of $1.5 billion the most recent offer on 7 July, the United Arab Emirates promised that it would give Egypt $3 billion in financial assistance. The money would be in addition to Qatar’s pledge of $10 billion and the $4 billion Saudi Arabia has already promised.  Most of these offers are a mixture of funds, loans, and grants. The amounts will probably be paid at intervals. The UAE money includes a $1.5 billion fund for small to medium businesses, $750 million in loans, and a $750 million grant, with no expectations of repayment.  The Saudi money includes a $500 million grant to help finance the budget deficit, $500 million in loans, and $500 million in Egyptian bond purchases. The $10 billion from Qatar will probably be mostly investments, but the country has also given some grants. In the weeks that Egypt was revising its budget so not to take on IMF and World Bank loans, Qatar provided $500 million to help the budget immediately. Egyptian Finance Minister Samir Radwan, said  “That is a gift.”

Iran’s leadership of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad have been actively supporting subversive movements in the region with the ultimate goal of bringing an end to pro-Western regimes. By hijacking legitimate expressions of democracy and self-determination, Iran's objective is to simultaneously undermine US influence and entrench Islamic goals. Iran wants to build a pro islamist coalition of partners to circumvent western interests. After the ouster of President Mubarak, leaders from the Brotherhood travelled to Iran for an Islamic Unity Conference. It was there that Kamal el-Helbawi, a former spokesman for the Brotherhood, praised the Iranian regime "as a model of resistance against the West's domination" and Ahmadinejad as "the No 1 figure of the Muslim world". With the Muslim Brotherhood under the Iranian wing Khamenei and Ahmadinejad are closer to there strategic national objective of surrounding Israel.

The Sinai is out of control of the military and it seams that the attacks on the gas pipeline will continue. The Junior officers not trained to take initiative only orders weakened security at the gaza border  culminating in non-action Egyptian side. This all stands to reason because of the military chain of command has broken with to top leaders in Cairo dealing with political matters. The military commission is dealing with continuing social unrest of all sorts and is depending upon advisers from the Muslim Brotherhood to resolve social problems.

Arms sales to friendly governments are grate for the economy and keeping people employed. In this case we should pull back and see how things shake out. The last thing we want to do is sell Tanks and guns to a potential radical Islamist state that is getten cozy with Iran.

WET BACKS WET DREAM

December 2010 the DREAM Act went down like Barney Frank in a sausage factory. For some reason the White House really wants illegal aliens to flock to our country. In a statement issued by the president at whitehouse.gov

"In an incredibly disappointing vote today, a minority of Senators prevented the Senate from doing what most Americans understand is best for the country." another statement that I found propagandist was "The DREAM Act is important to our economic competitiveness, military readiness, and law enforcement efforts. And as the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office reported, the DREAM Act would cut the deficit by $2.2 billion over the next 10 years."

Hes softer that a sneaker full of baby shit if he thinks that the American People will fall for that nonsense. There is new version of the dream act ready for congressional consideration. In a story from Numbers USA Senator Jeff Sessions  was quoted as saying "the bill would offer amnesty to over 2 million illegal aliens and according to the Congressional Budget Office would add more than $5 billion to the federal deficit." He then laid out 10 facts about the bill.

CBP catches ICE releases
December 8th, the House passed the DREAM Act-2011 by a vote of 216-198. The version the House passed is an updated version of the DREAM Act-2009 (HR 5281) Theirs a pretty good chance DREAM Act 2011will go the same way that the DREAM Act 2009 did. However President Obama has anticipated the bills defeat and issued 2 presidential Memorandums to ICE for the release and non-prosecution non-apprehension and non-deportation of illegals.

Exercising Prosecutorial Discretion Consistent with the Civil Immigration Enforcement Priorities of the Agency for the Apprehension, Detention, and removal of Aliens  and  Civil I migration Enforcement: Priorities for the Apprehension Detention and Removal of Aliens.

The Memos basically say because ICE has limited resources let as many criminals loose into society as you can unless there is Level 1 criminal that killed a cop or was caught kidnapping a college girl. These memos cut these people every brake possible. This is without a doubt an egregious abuse of power in order to circumvent the law. In my option Treason!

Maryland gets 95,000 Baltimore county signatures to repeal state DREAM Act.

Thousands of Haitian refugees in the custody of DHS will be released in Florida (NOT DEPORTED) or repatriated  They will have humanitarian status which means that they will be getting SSI benefits. WHAT A COUNTRY

SEX, LIES AND SECURITY

Can we trust anything that the Obama Administration appointees are saying to the public. The president claimed that his administration will be open and transparent, Well he was right. The president never said anything about honesty. It may take us awhile but the exposure of travesties perpetrated on the American people is quiet apparent. Take for example the case of Janet Napolitano’s interview with USA Today that was Updated 11/14/2010 she said this.

“Nearly a year after a thwarted terrorist attack on a Detroit-bound airliner last Christmas Day, the recent attempt by terrorists to conceal and ship explosive devices aboard aircraft bound for the United States reminds us that al-Qaeda and those inspired by its ideology are determined to strike our global aviation system and are constantly adapting their tactics for doing so.”

This is not true! She is referring to the Toner cartridges IEDs that were shipped from Yemen via a UPS plain with a destination of synagogues in Chicago. The bombs were never meant to go off on the plain but to be delivered and then set off by a cell phone at the destination. And She said this
“Our best defense against such threats remains a risk-based, layered security approach that utilizes a range of measures, both seen and unseen, including law enforcement, advanced technology, intelligence, watch-list checks and international collaboration.”

This is misleading and untrue! If the system is “risk-based” then the naked body scanners would be at international terminals in Muslim countries. The problem with this is that it would never happen due to the extreme hang-up they have towards nudity.  Watch-List, are you kidding me. do you think that Iran, Yemen, Lebanon or Syria give a tinkers dam about a stinking watch list. However the Nigerian crotch bomber did go through a scanner and the PETN explosive that he was pack-in in his panties is not detectable by the naked body scanners. Then she said this.

“This layered approach to aviation security is only as strong as the partnerships upon which it is built. In addition to the more than 50,000 trained transportation security officers, transportation security inspectors, behavior detection officers and canine teams who are on the front lines guarding against threats to the system, we rely on law enforcement and intelligence agencies across the federal government. We require airlines and cargo carriers to carry out specific tasks such as the screening of cargo and passengers overseas. We work closely with local law enforcement officers in airports throughout the country.”

This statement is preposterous! There are 378 airports with reguarly scheduled commercial flights and out of those 150 are international airports. If we have 50,000 TSA officers and 378 airports that would be an average of 132.28 officers per airport. Lets just say that the small regional airports such as L.M. Clayton Airport in Wolf Point Montana That has 5 arrivals and 5 departures on the day I checked it out and most of those flights were corporate private jets. so maybe they have no TSA officers stationed there. Mcghee Tyson Airport in Knoxville Tennessee with 36 Commercial arrivals and 17 departures Friday July 8, 2011 with no activity between midnight and 5:00 AM. So maybe this Airport may have 2 shifts of 5 officers including a supervisor for a total of 10. So 10 officers X 228=2,280 Now subtract 2280 from 50,000=47200/150=318.13 officers per international airport. That’s a lot of personnel considering the amount of contact points that TSA is responsible for. Now think about what she says all the agencies public and private that provide security and screening. So what the hell does TSA do? They mill about at the boarding aria so they can molest you and your children or if your lucky they'll take nude photographs of the whole family. Next there was this revaluation.

(Advanced Imaging Technology) "AIT machines are safe, efficient, and protect Passenger privacy. They have been independently evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration, the National Institute of Standards and Technology, and the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, who have all affirmed their safety. And the weapons and other dangerous and prohibited items we've found during AIT screenings have illustrated their security value time and again."

No corroboration of evidence. testing evidence from the companies listed could not be found and in some cases was deleted from there web sites, In the case of Johns Hopkins they refute the claims that DHS is using and that the data has been manipulated. Then there was this.

"Rigorous privacy safeguards are also in place to protect the traveling public. All images generated by imaging technology are viewed in a walled-off location not visible to the public. The officer assisting the passenger never sees the image, and the officer viewing the image never interacts with the passenger. The imaging technology that we use cannot store, export, print or transmit images."

This is not a truthful statement. The manufacture of the naked body scanners explains in there operation manual that the storage and transmitting of images for use in a data base is a standard feature. Then there was this whopper

"If an anomaly is detected during screening with AIT, if an alarm occurs after a passenger goes through a walk-through metal detector, or if a passenger opts out of either of these screening methods, we use pat-downs to help detect hidden and dangerous items like the one we saw in the failed terrorist attack last Christmas Day."

How many screening locations have you gone through at the airport, at least 2

Grassroots Terrorists the Manchurian Candidates of the 21st century

As we are all aware September 11th 2001 was one of the worst events in our nations history. As we did after December 7th 1941 we declared war on the perpetrators. Unlike the Pearl Harbour attack the World Trade Center attack was a non-military attack carried out by radical religious ideologues bent on the destruction of a way of life. We entered into a war with an ideology rather than a state. The Bush Administration and the military made a fundamental mistake by entering into a conflict not understanding the enemy. Using symmetrical warfare tactics against a guerrilla force using asymmetrical doctrine and improvised weaponry is a lesson we should have learned in Vietnam. This sort of sucker punch warfare just does not seam fair to Americans “it’s like fighting dirty.” I suggest to you that if we were invaded by a rouge nation that the American people would do the same thing that the Taliban is doing. We would take out our hunting rifles and snipe at them. Build IEDs and attack them as best we could because we are protecting our homeland. I don’t think you could vilify anyone for the protection of there nation, them selves, there family and property. That being said, the Taliban and the Al-Qeida variants are not fighting on behalf of a common state and they have no political agenda, therefore there is no single entity to negotiate with. Unless the Commander In Chief can summon Alia or Mohamed or Tinker Bell and negotiate a conclusion to the “war on terror” we will be involved up to our eyeballs till the end of time. There needs to be a change in tactics and a rethinking of strategy in order do bring about some kind of conclusion.

With Anwar al-Awlaki being an American and the titular head of AQAP we are facing a whole new pyridine in touristic activity within the United States. The “grassroots terrorist” I believe is the threat that must be addressed and has been ignored by law enforcement. The Fort Hood shooting by Major Nidal Malik Hasan and the Times Square bomber Faisal Shahzad are perfect examples of Americans being self radicalized. The media made a big deal out of fact that Shahzad was a naturalised American citizen from Pakistan who was quoted as saying in court he "falsely swore allegiance to his country." It may take years for a loan wolf “Manchurian candidate” to emerge or several weeks or months depending on the type and severity of the radical stimuli IE Patty Hurst.
In the 1970s we understood radicalization as being brain washed. There have been many cases of religious cult brain washing in our past such as Heavens Gate, The Branch Davidians and The peoples Temple. The people belonging to these groups were convinced to do things that they would not normally do. Why?

Individuals acting alone have outside forces acting upon them such as work, family, Friends, shopping or what ever. Outside activities occupying the mind serve as a dilution resulting in a longer period of time before a candidate takes action. The Muslim religion is the perfect conduit for Radicalization or brain washing because of the strict parameters that are imposed on individuals. With the Mosque being the central focus in a candidates life and a imam preaching Sharia philosophy that concentrates ones thoughts to a narrow view hence Radicalization is accelerated. The examples will continue and will become more common. Case in point is the Fort Hood shooting inspiring Abu Khadir Abdul-Latif and Walli Mujahidh to attack a Seattle recruiting center. Abdul-Latif’s wife was quoted as saying in reference to husband.  “He is a good Muslim the best Muslim he prays 5 times a day.” The problem was he was prying to kill people! Abdul-Latif and Mujahidh converted to the Muslim religion in prison a technique used by the Nation of Islam for years. The Seattle plot was uncovered by the FBI one week after the congressional hearing on Islamic radicalization in prisons held by Repetitive Peter King of New York.

The Internet has given berth to all sorts of business and advertising opportunities and allows a person any wear in the world the freedom of expression to a wide variety of people globally. This includes radicals such as Anwar al-Awlaki to invade western nations with his vitriol. I believe that we can learn from al-Awlaki and use his own words against him for rebuttal. For example the online magazine Inspire a publication targeted to the radicalization of “grassroots tourists” hear in America. Inspire is a slick publication filled with articles titled “I'm proud to be a trader to America” By Samir Khan a self radicalized North Carolinian that escaped FBI surveillance,  and “The ultimate mowing machine Tips for our brothers in the United Snakes of America” An excerpt of the article.
The idea is to use a pickup truck as a mowing machine, not to mow grass but mow down the enemies of Allah. You would need a 4WD pickup truck. The stronger the better. You would then need to weld on steel blades on the front end of the truck. These could be a set of butcher blades or thick sheets of steel. They do not need to be extra sharp because with the speed of the truck at the time of impact, even a blunter edge would slice through bone very easily. You may raise the level of the blades as high as the headlights. That would make the blades strike your targets at the torso level or higher. Pick your location and timing carefully. Go for the most crowed locations. Narrower spots are also better because it gives less chance for the people to run away. Avoid locations where other vehicles may intercept you. To achieve maximum carnage, you need to pick up as much speed as you can while still retaining good control of your vehicle in order to maximize your inertia and be able to strike as many people as possible in your first run. Keep in mind that as soon as people realize what you are up to, they would scatter and run in every direction looking for cover. They would look for areas where the vehicle cannot reach them. Therefore, it is important to study your path of operation beforehand. The ideal location is a place where there are a maximum number of pedestrians and the least number of vehicles. In fact if you can get through to “pedestrian only” locations that exist in some downtown (city center) areas, that would be fabulous. There are some places that are closed down for vehicles at certain times due to the swarms of people. If you have access to firearms, carry them with you so that you may use them to finish off your work if your vehicle gets grounded during the attack. After such an attack, we believe it would be very difficult to get away safely and without being recognized. Hence, it should be considered a martyrdom operation. It’s a one-way road. You keep on fighting until you achieve martyrdom. You start out your day in this world, and by the end of it, you are with Allah.

The general public needs to be aware of the thought process and activities of the “grassroots tarriest” for the sake of community safety. This is the problem the enemy from within exposes. Not every stolen pickup truck is going to be used for mowing down Americans. Not all stolen fireworks will be used to build a car bomb. On the contrary the serious threats will be attempted by individuals that are flying under the radar and they will not take the risk of being caught and finger printed for a theft charge. The FBI must infiltrate the Mosques develop assets within the congregation and evaluate the threat level of each congregation. Develop credible assets to counter the Internet speeches and articles that flood the Islamic websites. Most of all the FBI needs to analyze and publicly disseminate threat information in a timely manner. The proactive approach is the best way of thwarting plots as they are being hatched. This may not be a panacea and some plots may slip through but reacting to a plot is unacceptable in the eyes of the victims.

Cyber attacks on TSA by state sponsored actors in Iran or Yemen could compromise the secure flight system allowing a flood of undesirables in to the country in one day. The Arizona Department of Public Safety computer system was hacked by a drug cartel in Mexico. The attack compromised officer information and operational data including sensitive case files on active surveillance operations in Mexico. That is a real problem.

The Radical islamist hierarchy is adapting and morphing continuously. The security community needs to be nimble enough to keep up otherwise we will loose people and property in grotesque attacks. As I was writing this article Fox News reported that TSA has information that terrorism suspects are planing bomb attacks with the explosives surgically implanted within the body. This was a story that I outlined some weeks ago. It is an example of the adaptability that the AQAP is using to defeat our security procedures.

Over the River and Through the Woods

Narco-Terrorism is the single largest threat to American society today. After years of operation in Mexico and Central America these multi-national crime cartels have  accumulated large amounts of wealth and power. The cartels have established routes from Central and South America through Mexico and into the United States. The system of interstate highways facilitate there movement to and from distribution cites across America. Interstate 35 that runs from Laredo,TX. to Duluth, MN. Splitting the country in half makes the I-35 corridor the most sought after trafficking route for transporting drugs and illegal aliens by the Mexican Cartels.

The intersections of I-10, I-40, I-70 and I-80 along the I-35 corridor make the cities of San Antonio, Oklahoma City, Kansas City and Des Moines key Warehousing and distribution hubs. These cities have the largest potential for cartel related violence out side of the Mexican Border region. Atlanta and Nashville have also been recognised as distribution centers for the Los Zeta drug cartel. Private security officers patrolling industrial warehousing facilities may find themselves in a life threatening situation should they come upon a cartel
transaction. Security officers need to keep in mind that cartels such as the Los Zetas have a bounty on law enforcement officers of $10,000 to $50,000 and your uniform just may trigger a firefight.

Smith And Wesson MP360PD
Traveling from city to city on the interstate system has become an exercise in personal security. Preparation and situational awareness is your best defence if you encounter a life threatening situation. before traveling make a threat assessment of your trip. For example a trip to the corner store that you take once or twice a week may only rank as a 1 on your threat level scale. Traveling from San Antonio to Laredo via I-35 may be a 10. Regardless of your destination you will want to have intelligence on your route such as gas stations, restaurants and state / local police stations with local phone numbers programed into your cell phone, 911 may not work outside your local aria code

Smith and Wesson MP45
Weapons training may be something to consider if your a frequent traveler, ie truckers. In Florida your car / truck is an extension of your home making it legal to have personal protection with you. The best way to cover your ass is to have a permit to carry a firearm. In Florida it would be a “concealed weapons permit” the Florida permit allows you to carry a loaded firearm in public. (concealed) Florida's reciprocity agreements with 35 states allows you to travel across state lines and carry your sidearm.

Glock 17
As a person with civilian combat pistol and shotgun training I would not consider going up-against a Mexican drug cartel member unless I had no other option. If I was in the unavoidable situation of a armed confrontation at the very least I have a fighting chance to save my life. The fact is that there is a growing criminal element in the United States and a SWAT Team may not be handy when you need them. The Mexican cartel members are as sadistic and  brutal as they come and will not hesitate to use firearms any wear at any time.

My everyday firepower is a Smith and Wesson MP360PD a light weight 5 shot revolver with a custom Hogue grip. The 360 is a defensive weapon light, powerful, easily concealed and can be loaded with .38 special or .357 magnum. If i was to travel to or through the inner city I will carry a more offencive type weapon such as the Smith and Wesson MP45 or a Glock 17 with two extra magazines. On a road trip I will carry the Glock 17 and the MP360PD as a back up and my wife will take her Springfield XD9 this would allow us the flexibility of sharing ammo. As for long guns I prefer the Mossberg 590A1 12GA shotgun loaded with magnum slugs and 00 buckshot, a great weapon for all-a-round short range work with fast target acquisition. the 590A1 can easily be modified with a Hogue pistol grip making the shotgun more maneuverable in tight spaces such a truck cab, however you will sacrifice accuracy for that portability.

Good luck and happy motoring.

In the aftermath of the 9/11/01 attacks on the citizens of the United States the government went into action. With heads spinning in Washington Questions needed to be answered. The {Who, What, When, Where, Why, And How} needed to be answered. My gut reaction was, “”How could this happen” after all we are The United States, things like this just don’t happen hear.

The FBI and CIA certainly had egg on there faces as well as security officials in the airline industry. The people wanted revenge, retribution and answers, it was up to the President to facilitate that and provide Americans with closer.  The Commander in chief fired up the big green war machine and dam the torpedoes full steam ahead. I don’t know what the president sad to Porter Goss George Tenet and Robert Mueller but i’m sure it was something like this, (I don’t care what it takes find the sons of bitches that did this). Well that is precisely what they did.

Operation “Rendition” was not about catching radical operatives sitting them down in a comfy chair and poking them with pillows. It was about wringing them out like a mop extracting every last drop of information they could get. The CIA briefed Congressional leaders about “Rendition” and the “enhanced interrogation techniques” ( EIT ) that were used. At the time it seamed like all involved including the Justice Dept.,were on the same page as the CIA and they were all good to go.

August 2009 Attorney General Eric Holder decided to bring legal action against the CIA  officers that were acting on behalf of the American people and under orders of the President Of The United States. Then Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi
who was the first person that was briefed on the operation started walking back her support of  “Rendition” and lied about knowledge of the operation when Holder sprang into action.

Fast forward to July 1, 2011 The Justice Department has decided not to file criminal charges in the vast majority of cases involving the CIA's former interrogation, detention and kidnapping program known as “Rendition”. In a statement to CIA employees on his last day as director, Leon E. Panetta said Thursday. After an examination of more than 100 instances in which the agency allegedly had contact with terrorism detainees, Assistant U.S. Atty. John Durham decided that further investigation was warranted in just two cases”.

The two cases that will go forward involved the death of detainees. Panetta did not elaborate on the cases that justice is pursuing but most reports are that one involves Manadel Jamadi, who died in 2003 at Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq after he was beaten while being questioned in a shower by a CIA interrogator.Time magazine reported earlier this month that a secret US federal grand jury is already looking into the role of CIA agents in that case, Al-Jamadi had become known as "the Iceman" when his CIA handlers placed his body in ice to slow decomposition in a failed attempt to hide the death.

Holder commented  following Panetta's announcement with,"the department has determined that an expanded criminal investigation of the remaining matters is not warranted."
President Barack Obama had previously made clear that CIA interrogators, who acted on the basis of legal guidelines drawn up by the Bush administration, would not face the full extent of the law

So why is the decision not to prosecute happening now? Is it because incoming CIA Director General David Petraeus will not stand for Holders political games? The general came out with a statement "it is time to take the rear-view mirrors off the bus with respect to certain actions out there."
Atty. Gen. Holder has a lot on his plate and to answer for, the longer he is in the Justice Dept. drivers seat the more incompetence will come to lite.

Blunders Holder is responsible for.
  1. Prosecution of CIA officers,
  2. Moving GITMO  prisoners to a Illinois  prison.
  3. Prosecuting tarriest prisoners like Khalid Sheikh Mohammed in NY.
  4. Involvement in Operation “Fast and Ferrous.”
  5. Lack of investigation in the Black Panther voter intimidation case.
  6. The improper interrogation of  Abdul Mutallab.
  7. The relaxing of federal guidelines concerning crack cocaine.
I was also able to find that there are allegations against Holder prior to him becoming Attorney General. The allegations include his participation in the cover up of two separate murder investigations ( The  Kenneth Michael Trentadue murder case) and (The evidence tampering case involving the murder of Robert E. Wone. )

The involvement in scandals such as these clearly demonstrates the (above the law) attitude the Obama administration has exhibited. Holder and Obama have boxed themselves in trying to advance there left wing “social justice” agenda. As a result of there failed polices the administration is so deep in the weeds they can’t get out. Obama and Holder are on damage control trying to hold on to the power of there offices and it won’t work the American people are going to tell the whole bunch of you to hit the bricks.
